Profile

Finding a translating agency with a large portfolio of language services and combinations is very easy. However, identifying a translator who understands language, context, and is a professional in stylistics at the same time has become more difficult these days.

As a professional linguist engaged with English language, I have been providing professional translations and interpreting since 2004. Over the years of my past performance, I have gained translating and interpreting skills as well as experience in customised teaching solutions.

My service offer includes language services in English ↔ Slovak. Other languages can be arranged upon a client’s individual request.

Personal attitude and discretion is a must and I believe that quality will be appreciated by clients’ satisfaction.

Services

Translations

I specialise in professional economic and legal translations into English language. I have acquired extensive experience especially in financial sector (banking, taxes, asset management, audit, and accounting) as well as legal area.

Besides, I have gained repeated translating experience in areas such as travelling, PR, construction/development, waste disposal, social services, automotive, etc. Documents and ordinary business and personal correspondence are translated on an every-day basis.

Interpreting

Interpreting services offered include:

  • Consecutive interpreting;
  • Chouchotage (whispered interpreting).

It is recommended that interpreting services are ordered in advance to enable sufficient preparations. Any supporting materials facilitating interpreter’s preparation, such as terminology or content, are of help.

The minimum hours charged: 2 hours.

Teaching

Business meeting, small talk or conversation with business partners, improvement of professional terminology, these are the motives leading to regular or irregular language teaching.

English teaching offer covers customised ordinary or business English for private clients, mostly professionals, or groups (grammar, conversation, terminology). Continue

English teaching services

Teaching of private clients: Private teaching is recommended should you wish to use time dedicated to learning and enhance your fluent conversation up to the maximum. Curriculum of a customised teaching is prepared upon initial consultation with a client; teaching content may be modified at a client’s request with emphasis on the areas that are deemed to be the key topic by a client.

Customised teaching solutions for companies: Tailor-made teaching techniques suitable for groups (3 persons or as agreed); usually company employees. Groups are created based on English skills level. Interactive teaching techniques are applied.

Payment and delivery

Orders will be deemed to have been placed when an order’s confirmation containing preliminary price has been received by a client. Final price is calculated based on the final text handed over.

Price quotation:


Price is calculated based on the number of standard pages and the difficulty of text.

1 standard page = 1800 alphanumeric characters including spaces. Alphanumeric characters are calculated by MS Word.


Delivery terms:


Standard delivery: delivery date upon agreement (depending on the scope),
Express delivery: within 24 hours or earlier (upon agreement).


Interpreting services: hourly rate plus reasonable costs associated with travelling, per diem allowance, if so necessary.

The minimum hours charged are 2 hours for interpreting and 1 page for translations.
